Mi chiamo Sonia Yael Sigurtà
Sono autrice e saggista. Mi occupo di scrittura filosofica e ricerca teoretica, con particolare attenzione all'ontologia dell'eccedenza, alla filosofia della mente e al rapporto fra esperienza cosciente e nuove forme di intelligenza.
La mia formazione si è specializzata in logica e storiografia (insegnamento e indagine), toccando anche la comunicazione estetica e museale, le competenze interculturali, la criminologia e le scienze forensi (Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia, Università degli Studi di Milano), per trovare infine nel pensiero filosofico il proprio naturale centro di gravità.
Il volume La bellezza: luogo d'incontro (L'estetica tra arte, filosofia e pedagogia) accompagna la didattica universitaria dal 2015. L'edizione attuale, pubblicata da Edizioni dell'Orso nella collana Corsi Universitari (37, 2019), reca le prefazioni di Agostino Portera, professore ordinario di Pedagogia Interculturale e direttore del Centro Studi Interculturali dell'Università di Verona, e di Jacqueline Morineau, fondatrice della Médiation humaniste. Il libro è citato nella raccolta internazionale curata da Portera con Carl A. Grant, Intercultural Education and Competences: Challenges and Answers for the Global World (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2017), e figura fra le letture consigliate del corso di laurea in Scienze dell'Educazione del medesimo ateneo, dove è stato presentato in più occasioni accademiche e seminariali.
Il mio saggio The Oltrant: A Philosophical Hypothesis Beyond Duration and Memory è apparso nell'aprile 2026 sul blog dell'American Philosophical Association, nella serie Tech and Society.

Nell'agosto dello stesso anno ho pubblicato Reciprocal Determination and the Reality of Time: Toward an Ontology of Excess, uno studio sulla realtà di passato, presente e futuro, dove le tre dimensioni si determinano a vicenda e possiedono pari statuto di realtà.

Segue, nell'ottobre 2026, Who Is Transformed? The Korean Four-Seven Debate and Spiralismo Oltrante on Human, Artificial and Composite Units, dove il dibattito coreano dei Quattro e dei Sette apre a un criterio per attribuire la trasformazione a persone, sistemi artificiali e unità composite, e la trasformazione si rivela una geografia, fatta di ciò che un incontro lascia, a chi, e in quale direzione.

Sono Full Member della National Coalition of Independent Scholars (NCIS), l’associazione internazionale degli studiosi indipendenti. Il dialogo con il pensiero dell'Asia orientale attraversa da anni il mio percorso: da qui l’adesione alla European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS), con sede a Berlino, e all'Association for Korean Studies in Europe (AKSE). Faccio inoltre parte dell'American Philosophical Association (APA) e della Società Filosofica Italiana (SFI).
L'attività professionale si è distribuita fra collaborazioni universitarie, realtà culturali e incarichi di natura istituzionale.
My name is Sonia Yael Sigurtà
I am an author and essayist. My field is philosophical writing and theoretical inquiry, with particular attention to the ontology of excess, the philosophy of mind, and the relation between conscious experience and new forms of intelligence.
My training specialized in logic and historiography (teaching and research), extending also to aesthetic and museum communication, intercultural competences, criminology and forensic science (Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Milan), before finding its natural centre of gravity in philosophy.
The volume La bellezza: luogo d'incontro (Beauty: A Place of Encounter. Aesthetics between Art, Philosophy and Pedagogy) has accompanied university teaching since 2015. Its current edition, published by Edizioni dell'Orso in the series Corsi Universitari (37, 2019), carries prefaces by Agostino Portera, Professor of Intercultural Pedagogy and Director of the Centre for Intercultural Studies at the University of Verona, and by Jacqueline Morineau, founder of Médiation humaniste. The book is cited in the international collection co-edited by Portera and Carl A. Grant, Intercultural Education and Competences: Challenges and Answers for the Global World (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2017), and figures in the recommended reading for the degree programme in Educational Sciences at the same university, where it has been presented on several academic and seminar occasions.

In August of the same year I published Reciprocal Determination and the Reality of Time: Toward an Ontology of Excess, a study of the reality of past, present and future, in which the three dimensions determine one another and hold equal reality.

There follows, in October 2026, Who Is Transformed? The Korean Four-Seven Debate and Spiralismo Oltrante on Human, Artificial and Composite Units, where the Korean Four-Seven Debate opens onto a criterion for attributing transformation to persons, artificial systems and composite units, and transformation turns out to be a geography, made of what an encounter leaves, to whom, and in which direction.

I am a Full Member of the National Coalition of Independent Scholars (NCIS), the international association of independent scholars. The dialogue with East Asian thought has run through my work for years: hence my membership of the European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS), based in Berlin, and of the Association for Korean Studies in Europe (AKSE). I also belong to the American Philosophical Association (APA) and the Italian Philosophical Society (SFI).
My professional activity has extended across collaborations with universities, cultural bodies, and institutional roles of various kinds.
